You don't really care about grades because you aren't planning to go to college anyway.  Rather, your plan is to get married to your high school boyfriend Bud (who works as a mechanic in the shop off Highway 20) right after graduation.  Bud is the kind of guy with a shotty mustache who dips tobacco and wears long jean shorts.  Your parents want to hate him and disapprove of your relationship.  But your parents also at least appreciate the fact that he seems to be a hard worker and that to outwardly criticize your desire to marry him so young would be very hypocritical.  You will probably work as a manicurist in that one strip mall near the Galleria Dallas for two years before starting on your kid-making.  Your greatest life ambition is to be prettier than your bridesmaids:  3:2
