Garden State
As a young, female college graduate working in a marketing position, you constantly think of the long, warm nights when you studied abroad for a semester in Seville.  Thoughts of drinking jugs of red wine with your American “chicas,” and how Paulo would come and pick you up (on his scooter!) before you would spend the whole night having sex, smoking cigarettes (indoors!), and talking about political philosophy.  But now, as your computer “dings” to indicate a new email message (Re:  Happy Hour ;-)) you think about your new boyfriend Jeremy, and how he’s so responsible and motivated with his career.  Your parents like him because he’s polite and Jewish… but you don’t know.  You don’t know about anything these days.  Maybe you’ll call up Elyse, your sculptor friend from college and go to that cool sangria bar on the seedy street downtown.  Oh that would be fun.  But, no.  Jeremy would be upset because you promised to go that networking function with him for his job.  Yeah and Elyse probably has her own thing going on tonight anyway.  Got to be responsible, after all you’re an adult now.
