People from Indiana always tend to have this unmerited cockiness, especially regarding their sports teams. It’s as if the entire state of Indiana is an enclosed bubble where there is nothing but white people (excluding the professional athletes) self-applauding their “heart” and “work ethic” and completely oblivious to how ridiculous they look to the outside world. Nevertheless, after having finally reached the pinnacle and as they undoubtedly show the world that they are a weak team unworthy of mass praise, the state of Indiana’s confidence will eventually deteriorate and they’ll end up depressed like neighboring Ohio.
