It’s not necessarily the current university administration’s fault that their institution was built in the epicenter of tacky America. Even if Vanderbilt was actually a “good school” it’s a shame that it has to be nullified by being located in an intellectual and cultural vacuum. That being said and well known, it is difficult to respect any bright student that voluntarily decided to spend their parent’s hard-earned money on tuition there.
